School’s Out for Summer: Doggie Pool Party!

School’s out! Celebrate the start of Summer with your pup at our Doggie Pool Party on Saturday, June 15th from 1:00 – 4:00 PM. We can’t wait to spend the summer with you and your furry family members, and have a fun day planned to kick the season off.

First, enjoy live music from local artist, Brandon Laib! Brandon is an Oklahoma native singer/songwriter who has been playing music in the Metro Area for nearly 25 years. During that time, he has performed with multiple bands and as a solo artist for a number of venues and festivals. He continues to write music, play live at bars, restaurants, and dog parks in OKC, and is currently working on his next full-length album.

Next up, sign yourself or dog up to enter one of our Watermelon Eating Contests! These will be two separate timed events for people and pups, with the fastest time to finish your plate (or dog bowl!) being the winner for each. For the Dog winner, they will receive one free month of Membership to Bar K! This will apply to your existing Bar K Membership or if you are a guest, we will get you set up with a free month! Human winner will receive a $50 Bar K Gift Card, good to use on retail items or at the Restaurant/Bar. Sasquatch Shaved Ice will be joining us around 2:00 pm – keep your eye out for their mobile food truck pulling up to the parking lot! They will have snow cones available in 2 size options: (8oz) for $3 and (16oz) for $4. They will also have a couple sugar free options. Make sure to grab yourself a cold, tasty treat!

This wouldn’t be a Pool Party without pools – Look for the Splash Pad area in our Main Outdoor Park, and your dogs can enjoy extra kiddie pools set up for extra fun! Dog’s wearing Hawaiian Shirts or Bathing Suits get FREE entry into the park for the party, so suit those cuties up and join us for a day full of Summer Vibes! See you there!

As always, entry is free for humans and Bar K Members. For Non-Members bringing a dog, entry is $10 ($15 on Sat/Sun) for the first dog and $5 for each additional dog in the household. Guests 18+ can sign the gust waiver form below or at the Front Desk upon arrival:

DOG ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be current on vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP/Da2PP and Bordetella)
• Must be properly socialized for group play
• Must be at least 12 weeks old
• Puppies who are under 25 lbs AND under six months of age are allowed in the Small Dog Park only, or on our on-leash patio. This is because puppies of that age and size may not have the experience or physical ability to play safely among large adult dogs. Once your puppy is over 25lbs or 6 months of age, they are permitted to play in the All Dog Park.
