2nd Annual Pawsperity Pup Pageant

Pawsperity, the only nonprofit grooming school in the country, teaches some of Kansas City’s most vulnerable the art of dog grooming. With the mission of ending generational poverty, students are typically single moms coming from traumatic pasts such as homelessness, domestic violence, incarceration, and addiction. With extensive grooming training and many wraparound services, Pawsperity graduates become groomers, which helps transform their families’ lives, while permanently escaping poverty.

Together, Pawsperity, Hill’s Pet Nutrition, and Bar K are teaming up for a fun-filled, fashion-themed dog event to benefit the Kansas City community. With a mission to help enrich and lengthen the special relationships between people and their pets, Pawsperity is thrilled to have Hill’s Pet Nutrition as the title sponsor for 2025’s Pup Pageant!

•  WHAT: Pet parents can register their dog(s) in the three categories of Kansas City Spirit, Fantasy Tails, and Owner/Pet Lookalike.
  • Participants will receive professional photos and the option to win great prizes.
  • Raffle baskets and retail shopping will be available.
  • Drinks and food can be purchased from Bar K.
