CALLING ALL PET INDUSTRY WORKERS!
The first Wednesday of every month is PET INDUSTRY NIGHT at Bar K. From Veterinarians to dog walkers as well as all of their staff, Bar K is the place to mingle and network with your peers (and their dogs!)
Pet Industry workers can enjoy the following specials from 4 pm-close
Pet Industry Night is also an opportunity to spotlight some of the amazing local pet businesses here in St. Louis.
This month we are pleased to be joined by Kennewood and Dogs on Duty! We are all coming together to show our love for YOU and YOUR pups!
About Kennelwood: Donald Danforth Jr. opened the first Kennelwood Pet Resorts location in St. Louis in 1974. He recognized an unfulfilled need for a pet care facility where pet parents could leave their pets with confidence knowing they are receiving the highest level of care. The Danforth family’s heritage in the pet industry began much before that when Donald’s Grandfather, William H. Danforth founded Ralston Purina in 1894. Kennelwood is proud to have such strong roots in the pet care industry and remains today a family-owned business with Donald Danforth’s son, Chris Danforth, serving as CEO and Chairman of the Board.
About Dogs on Duty: In 2013, after her own dogs were not able to qualify for Search and Rescue certification due to health concerns, founder Meribeth Broadway wanted to find ways in which she could offer support. After learning that the handlers of working dogs receive little to no support or funding for the expensive equipment and necessary expenses to carry out their duties, Meribeth combined her passion for supporting working dogs with her background in canine training and veterinary experience to begin Dogs on Duty. Since its founding, they have been able to donate resources to the working dog community. These items are necessary for the k9s’ protection and assist with their mission. Dogs On Duty has vested police k9s with Kevlar.
If you would like your company to be in the spotlight at one of these events, please reach out to email@example.com and we’ll get you on the calendar.
As always, entry is free for humans and Bar K Members. For Non-Members bringing a dog, entry is $10 for the first dog and $5 for each additional dog in the household. During peak season (April-October), the cost on Saturday & Sunday increases to $15 for your first dog, $5 for each additional dog. You can complete the Guest Entry Form in advance by following the link below or fill it out at our Front Desk.
DOG ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
• Must be current on vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP/Da2PP and Bordetella)
• Must be properly socialized for group play
• Must have an ID tag at all times (if you don’t have one, we will provide at our Front Desk)
• Must be at least 12 weeks old
• Puppies who are under 25 lbs AND under six months of age are allowed in the Small Dog Park only, or on one of our on-leash patios.
