World’s Largest Pet Walk at Bar K

Join us on September 23rd at 9 AM for a fundraising walk to support a great cause! The World’s Largest Pet Walk, an annual event organized by Pet Partners, takes place on the 4th Saturday of September, uniting people and pets to celebrate the health benefits of staying active. Since its inception in 2018, The World’s Largest Pet Walk has raised over $167,000, benefiting therapy animal teams and extending the love of animals to those in need.

Our very own Bar K Running Club will host and coordinate the walk, and we’ll have Canine Assistants, Inc. and KSDS Assistance Dogs, Inc. here with some of their working dogs, so you can see exactly what the money raised is working towards! So, get ready to grab your walking gear and bring your furry friend along for just $15. Half of the proceeds will be directly donated to our partners, Canine Assistants and KSDS. No dog? No worries! You can still join us for the walk for only $10. Plus, every participant will receive a complimentary mimosa after the walk and enjoy a 50% discount on one brunch entree.

As always, entry is free for humans and Bar K Members. For Non-Members bringing a dog, entry is $10 for the first dog and $5 for each additional dog in the household. During peak season (April-October), the cost on Saturday & Sunday increases to $15 for your first dog, $5 for each additional dog. DOG ENTRY REQUIREMENTS 

• Must be current on vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP/Da2PP and Bordetella)
• Must be properly socialized for group play
• Must be at least 12 weeks old
• Must have an ID tag at all times (if you don’t have one, we will provide at our Front Desk) 
• Puppies who are under 25 lbs AND under six months of age are allowed in the Small Dog Park only, or on one of our on-leash patios. This is because puppies of that age and size may not have the experience or physical ability to play safely among large adult dogs. Once your puppy is over 25lbs or 6 months of age, they are permitted to play in the All Dog Park.
