WHERE IT ALL STARTED.
Years ago, Leib Dodell and Dave Hensley began dreaming of a place where people and their dogs could co-exist in a fun, entertaining and creative environment. More than just a dog park, it would be an entire pet-friendly community that offered a great food and beverage experience, embraced socially responsible and sustainable business practices, and provided a one-of-a-kind experience for humans and dogs. From this vision, Bar K was born.

Dave is a small business owner, founder of Memory Preservation Coalition and was a long-time volunteer for Community Linc, helping inner-city mothers to build a better future. Dave lives in Kansas City and enjoys spending time with his little brother through Big Brothers as well as his pup, Bishop.
